[GIP-40] Financial Multisig Reshuffle

This proposal is aimed at rotating some Financial Multisig signers.

Going through this summers Notion Report where Technical Multisig payouts are listed, you can notice that some signers were MIA at the time.

GIP-17 aimed to rotate some of the Technical Multisig partecipants for exactly this reason, yet we are again in a situation where some of the current signers are not active.

Specifically, from the current list of Signers, it appears that 0xA529660f7AeA2439fa52A15F1Ca7a94CFAa9A096 has signed 0 transactions. This can be checked at SafeStats.

Our current policies around Financial Multisig signers can be found at the Governance Docs, and sets forth that we must have a 5/9 multisig.

To bring the security requirements as well as the trust assumptions of the Financial Multisig on par with the Technical Multisig, I propose to change this to a 6/10.

To achieve this, I propose to add two new members:

As this brings the total count to 11, I propose to remove one of the inactive signers:

  • 0xA529660f7AeA2439fa52A15F1Ca7a94CFAa9A096 (Total 0 tx signed)

This will bring the Financial Multisig to 6/10 in compliance with the proposed change.

Looking forward to any comments, questions or feedback from any of you!

It seems like mr banana (as far as I understood) isn’t available for frequent multisg txs now, so the proposal concerns only duckdegen. He has been helping the DAO and being an awesome member since the very beginning, and is also a public figure. Support this motion! When can we vote? @nikitakle

Good afternoon sir, I think it’s time to put this proposal up for a vote. I will do it. But first you need to make some changes to your proposal. First, exclude @bananacrypto from the offer (since I understood from Ivan’s previous message that he opted out). So we will remove one inactive member and add you. Therefore, we will also have the same 5/9 multisig. Once you do that (if you agree) just ping me and I’ll start a vote!

Will re-post the edited post.

To maintain the security and operating ability as well as the trust assumptions of the Financial Multisig i propose to rotate an inactive signer out and to rotate a new signer in.

To achieve this, I propose to rotate in myself:

As this brings the total count to 10, I propose to remove one of the inactive signers:

  • 0xA529660f7AeA2439fa52A15F1Ca7a94CFAa9A096 (Total 0 tx signed)

This will bring the Financial Multisig to renewed optimal operational ability in a 5/9 configuration.
