A bot is a program that is designed to perform similar and repeatable tasks in accordance with a specific algorithm. It saves people time by taking over routine functions, and works through interfaces at a speed far exceeding human speed.

What trades did you see an advantage over others? people were doing sansei. Can anyone check the transactions if there was an automated process or not?

This can totally happen, and imho this is an edge case! I don’t have a strong opinion on this - it’s a delicate matter. But when checking these addresses on Etherscan, most of them have ZERO mainnet activity. That’s a main major factor tbh, because that means those wallets never used mainnet. And on Rinkeby, I see they all tested the same protocol exactly 51-52 days ago. Ehich looks extra-botty.

I wouldn’t say those are bots though, but imho this cluster… let others speak. Hard to decide.

Yeah… like trying to prove these are all different people by posting screenshots of identical tweets… that isn’t confidence-inducing.

And every single address doing every single test… that’s a tight knit group.

AliLeymo got any screenshots or something from the discord group you are all in? or even better post an invite and some of us could scroll thru the history to see if it’s actually a group of ppl chatting n stuff?

Disregard my forum post from your case @AliLeymo. My post was about 0x2be78ea22deb3b237a3ffe4fd5163d1055cd364c sending to 15 addresses, but somehow I connected it to your replies in the Botting thread. I checked all the addresses that you posted above and none of them even show up in my data at all, because the addresses used faucets and didn’t send tokens to each other on kovan. Sorry for mentioning your name on data about different address.

Go check them and their tweets, guys! It’s pretty interesting.

I believe anyone here who knows Russian can tell that these ‘friends’ is a pretty tiny botfarm of fake/disposable twitter and discord accounts, bought at a kinda ‘dark’ Russian fakemarket. Those fakebreeders simply cant afford being creative breeding fakes in hundreds and thousands.

It’s not about it being a “crime” it just makes it 99,99% more likely to be a bot/sybil if the address doesn’t have any legit activity on mainnet…

Also the arguments you’re using are not really helping your case I would say. You and your (imaginary?) friends may have tried to cheat the game, you lost, no biggie that happens, no one promised anything anyway, no airdrop promised, “ser”.

It’s possible. My girlfriend has been wanting to learn about crypto but it costs a decent amount of money to onboard so I finally got her on a metamask account to try gearbox. So she would be an account that shows up as there no mainnet transactions. But she also doesn’t have dozens of other accounts that link up to her with discord and twitter accounts that act like bots.

Defined as robot not suitable, defined as brush airdrop suitable

It’s all open on the chain, using Multisender batch operation, fixed amount, execute operation, that kind of behavior doesn’t really test this protocol any better, just to brush the airdrop

@ivangbi @ilgiz Clearly not a bot, but to me it seems like 1 person doing some good old airdrop farming. If this isn’t enough evidence for limiting these addresses to max 100 000 GEAR, then I personally think continuing the bot/farmer hunt is not worth the hassle. I can provide the clusters and addresses where addresses transact to each other and take part in mass “testing”, but I think detailed reports and arguing with the address owners takes too much time and focus from other stuff. There’s about 10 clusters (depending on the parameters set) of 330 or so addresses.

Which ‘mentioned addresses’ exactly? Mentioned here above? The adresses above all look like being tied to/associated with fake twitter/discord accounts, probably operated by humans (by a single human, imo). They’re probably not bots, technically.

Are interaction periods in your table in mins or secs?

@ivangbi @ilgiz You’re both Russians (or Russian speakers, at least). Look at those twitter and discord nicks, don’t you see any pattern there?
